Apna School started as a small request from a school principal in our hometown. He'd been juggling three notebooks, two Excel sheets and a fee receipt book — and asking us, almost weekly, "isn't there something simple that does all of this?" We looked at every school ERP on the market. They were either built for international schools (no RTE, no thermal printers, no caste/religion fields), or they were so overloaded with menus that the principal still ended up using Excel.
So we built one ourselves. Around the things Indian schools actually do — class promotion at session-end, sibling guardians, fee receipts on a 58 mm thermal printer the office already owns, three exam tiers instead of one, and a permission system that hides the payslip page from the fee clerk.
Five years later, we're still doing one thing: making Apna School the cleanest, fastest, most Indian-school-shaped ERP we can. Nothing else.
