Apna School is a cloud-based school management ERP for Indian schools. It covers Students & Attendance, a three-tier exam system (Exam, Class Test, Unit Test), Fee Collection, Transportation, Staff with Payslips, Accounting (cash book + party accounts) and a Guardian module — all from one dashboard.
The application is hosted over HTTPS and enforces a strict Content-Security-Policy, CSRF tokens on every form, and secure session handling. Login is rate-limited per mobile + IP; all DB queries are parameterised. Each request is gated by a role-based permission check before any data is read or written.
Users sign in with their mobile number + password and a captcha. Forgot-password is handled via OTP sent to the registered mobile. Two roles exist by default — Owner / Admin (full access) and Staff (granular per-module permissions set by the admin).
Yes, an Android app accompanies the web panel and is included in every subscription plan. There is also a QR-scan attendance kiosk login for staff who only mark attendance.
Yes. The admin can assign granular per-module permissions for each employee — single flags for Exam / Class Test / Unit Test, and three flags (add / edit / view) for Students, Fees, Transportation, Guardian, Staff, Accounting and Settings.
Yes. Each session (e.g. 2025-26, 2026-27) is a first-class entity. Class enrolments, fee structure, transport assignments, exams and receipts are all scoped per session, so historical data is preserved when you roll forward.
Yes. Each school has a configurable thermal print width — 58 mm or 80 mm — and the receipt page renders accordingly. Standard A4 print is also supported. Receipts can be edited or cancelled (with reason) before close.
Yes. After staff attendance is marked for the month, the Staff → Payslip page computes Basic + HRA + Other Allowance, deducts PF and other deductions, and produces the net salary. Each payslip posts an entry into the accounting cash book.
